| Artist Statement Paint and paint and sand and paint and sand and so on until the painting is done-this is the process for my current work, whether I’m painting on the spur of the moment or interpreting an idea. My work is based on line, repetition, and pattern and my inspirations come from fashion, music, dance, pre-code and silent films, and nature. My art signifies my personal struggles and how I deal with them, rehashing over and over until I have to scrape away to find clarity. |
